World Volleyball Day™
July 7, 2026
Just as the Susan G. Komen® organization has Race for the Cure®, Block the Bully has World Volleyball Day™, an event that unites volleyball fans worldwide to raise awareness and stand against bullying.
World Volleyball Day is more than a celebration of sport — it’s a global stand against bullying. Powered by the Block the Bully movement, this initiative unites volleyball communities around the world in a powerful message of support.
Where Donations Go
Block the Bully™ keeps things simple and transparent. Donations are used in three main areas:
1.
Education and Outreach — We visit schools, clubs, and community groups to talk about bullying, share real stories, and give people tools that help.
2.
Program Support — Part of our budget goes toward supporting reliable anti-bullying efforts already happening around the country, including programs run by first responders, coaches, and community organizations.
3.
Basic Operations — We are a lean, volunteer-driven nonprofit. A portion of funds helps cover travel, printing, video production, web tools, and other low-cost items that keep us moving.
As Block the Bully grows, we’ll publish straightforward updates showing exactly where funds went and what they supported. No fluff — just clear reporting and real results.
Highlight the impact of bullying and promote positive behavior within communities through volleyball.
Connect individuals worldwide through a shared passion for volleyball, demonstrating solidarity against bullying.
Join the global movement as we attempt to set a World Record for the most people playing volleyball in a single day - July 7, 2026.
Block the Bully is our nonprofit initiative dedicated to uniting the global volleyball community in the fight against bullying. Our mission is to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of bullying and to foster a supportive environment through the universal language of sports.
Your support helps us create a world where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
I was bullied in elementary school, junior high, and all four years of high school. It was hard, but I survived. I learned to tune out the negativity of those who bullied me to cause harm, while recognizing that sometimes people acted out because they were struggling themselves.
When I shared my story with my daughter, she said something that really stuck with me. She’s a good kid, maybe a little naïve, but she’s never had to deal with being bullied herself. And that’s what I want for every kid—to never feel the way I did growing up.
But the reality is, bullying is still out there. Everyone deals with it in their own way, and I want to share my story to help others navigate through it. I want to inspire schools, volleyball clubs, churches, and communities to come together and fight against bullying in all its forms.
What I've learned in my 35 years around the sport of volleyball is that it's filled with incredible people—people who care, people who support one another, and people who make a difference. My hope is to unite the volleyball community and beyond to create a movement of kindness and understanding.
I’d love the opportunity to share it with your school, your club, or your community, so together we can make an impact and show the next generation that bullying has no place in our world.
Together, we can create a future where everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Every purchase from our merchandise collection directly supports our mission. 100% of net proceeds go towards anti-bullying initiatives and community programs.
